Feds RAID Democrat — Fraud Evidence Mounts

Federal agents raided Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s Washington residence Monday morning after a judge found probable cause of criminal activity, with sources pointing to a decades-old immigration fraud scheme that could invalidate her citizenship and congressional seat.

What Agents Were Looking For

Department of Homeland Security investigators removed boxes from Omar’s home under a judicially authorized search warrant secured by the Department of Justice. Former assistant U.S. attorney Jonathan Fahey told reporters that getting a DC judge to approve such a warrant requires compelling evidence. The warrant suggests investigators believe current documentation in Omar’s home proves federal crimes occurred, despite the alleged fraud dating back over two decades.

Sources familiar with the investigation indicate agents sought evidence related to Omar’s claimed birth year. The congresswoman states she received automatic citizenship in 2000 at age 17 through her naturalized father. But Minnesota state documents from that era suggested Omar was actually 18 or 19 years old, making her ineligible for the parent-based citizenship path she used.

The Age Discrepancy That Won’t Go Away

In 2019, Minnesota researcher AJ Kern publicly documented that Omar’s birth year appeared as 1981 on official state legislative records. Two days after Kern’s findings went viral, the Minnesota Legislative Reference Library’s website changed Omar’s birth year from 1981 to 1982. Congressional records today list her October 1982 birth date, which would make her exactly 17 when she obtained citizenship.

While naturalization fraud carries a ten-year statute of limitations, the clock resets each time fraudulent information appears on official documents like passport renewals or financial applications. Investigators likely sought exactly those types of records during Monday’s raid. Fahey noted that DHS involvement specifically indicates immigration-related violations rather than other federal crimes.

Political Targeting or Legitimate Investigation

Omar immediately claimed the raid represents weaponization of federal law enforcement against political opponents. Yet legal experts say DC judges typically resist approving politically sensitive warrants without substantial evidence. A federal magistrate had to determine that probable cause existed for crimes and that evidence would be found at the specific location searched. For a judge to authorize searching for evidence of twenty-year-old crimes, investigators must have demonstrated compelling reasons to believe current proof exists in Omar’s possession.

The Justice Department confirmed only that the enforcement action is part of an ongoing federal investigation, refusing to provide additional details about what charges Omar might face if the evidence supports prosecution.

  1. Of course Ilhan Omar is gonna claim weaponization by the Trump administration, rather odd though that the Minnesota Legislative Reference Library website changed her birth year from 1981 to 1982 that year 1982. Why?? ????
